Frequently Asked Questions

What's your photography style?

My style of photography is natural, bright, vibrant and creative. It's all about telling the story of your wedding day, including all the big and little moments, laughter, tears, craziness and funny little details in between. It's 85% documentary, and 15% is where we'll do any family photos you'd like and those gorgeous portraits of the two of you. During this time I'll give you a little more direction but it's all very relaxed, and usually fun! We go for a walk, have a chat and stop every now and then in an interesting spot with beautiful light and take some shots. Don't worry if you are a bit camera shy, the vast majority of couples I work with are.

How do you work?

I love what I do. I will have lots of time for you, and you are always welcome to get in touch with any wedding questions, photography related or not. Crucially, it's your day, and I want to know what's most important to you, so I can capture it in a way that's unique, personal and meaningful to you. I really want you to enjoy your wedding day, including having your photos taken. I remember from my own wedding that I most wanted to spend as much time as possible with my guests, so I won't drag you away for photos for too long. We'll plan everything in advance, so we can be efficient on the day.

What does your perfect wedding look like?

My favourite weddings to photograph are those that are filled with love, laughter and warmth, and have a relaxed laid back vibe. I love working with couples who have a bit of a sense of adventure and aren't too worried about tramping across a field or getting their feet wet by the beach (all within reason of course!). I'm a big fan of beautiful details, fairy lights, rustic wood, confetti, warm and rich colours, gorgeous scenery, as well as quirky urban locations. I love variety so there's not one perfect one for me, but the above is a good list of ingredients.

Do you offer videography packages?

Yes! Please contact for more details.

Do you travel?

Absolutely. I regularly travel between the UK and France and I usually try to be in Europe during spring, summer and autumn (but please check as this varies every year). I love being on the move and am available anywhere in the world.

What equipment do you use?

I use professional Canon equipment and have a selection of lenses, so can capture a range of different focal lengths, no matter how small or large your venue is. I also carry lighting for darker venues, as well as backup equipment, so there's no need to worry about any technical failures on the day.

How many photos will I get?

I don't cap the number of photos you receive, and the final number depends on your wedding, how many guests you have, and the format of your day. Usually, you can expect to receive between 300-500 photos for full day coverage, and 100 -200 for shorter packages.

How soon will I get my photos?

You'll receive a sneak peek preview within 48 hours of your wedding, which includes around 5-10 photos, so you'll have a few to get you started. I edit all your photos individually, and this takes a little bit of time to make sure they are perfect. You'll receive all your photos within 6-10 weeks.

Should I book 1 or 2 photographers?

It's entirely up to you. I usually recommend getting a second photographer if you'd like photos of the boys getting ready, as well as the bride, or if you have more than 100 guests and are keen to get lots of candid shots of your guests. You will receive more photographs if you book 2 photographers and we are able to capture more angles, which is particularly helpful during the ceremony.

How and when to book

If you are getting married on a weekend between April and October, I suggest you book at least 12 months in advance, as I tend to get booked up quickly during these busy months. Otherwise, as soon as possible really. Once you sent in your booking form and paid your deposit, your date is all yours.

Can we chat before we book?

Absolutely! I would love to meet with you and/or have a quick chat on the phone and hear more about your plans for the big day. I'm happy to show you a bit more of my work too, and we can both make sure that we're a good fit for each other.
